BAIT, SWITCH, & LIES :Buyer beware, especially female buyers. Specifically asked for conventional 10w-40, first was given a price of $31. The receipt stated 10W-40 5 quarts and we were told they didn't carry it in stock and would have to purchase it from an autoparts place. When we picked the car up the price was switched to $49. When asked, they said it was more expensive oil they had just bought for our oil-change today from Advanced Auto. Gut feeling really kicked in because we didn't see anyone leave to get it and we asked them to show us the empty bottles. They said they couldn't and stammered over a 5W-30 bottle but insisted it wasn't what they had just put in the car. I complained that we weren't satisfied but paid in full and left. Later we were called and told the technician had actually put in 4 quarts 5W-30. When asked if they had gone to the store and purchased it like they said they skirted the question. We asked directly again if it was lie that they had told us they had left to purchase the oil and one employee finally admitted that they lied.
They admitted even though my car only holds 4 quarts that their custom charge is 5 quarts, even if it only holds 4! Pay attention! Lied about not having 10W-40 in stock! Lies, lies, lies. We're checking that they even put on a new oil filter.
These mechanics know what they're doing for the most part but if you don't stay with your vehicle, don't go to Performance Automotive. They won't keep their promised delivery date. The Service desk (Andrew) will call 15 minutes before closing to let you know your vehicle is ready and if it is Friday, you won't see your vehicle for days, DAYS. In my case it was a full WEEK because of missed delivery date and a holiday. No chance I'm going back, what a joke.
They know what they are doing there. Very friendly staff.

The worst part is they took advantage of two trusting women they thought didn'tt now any better. So dissapointed, not our community valued Pittsboro type of business.
