Great place to visit and see a wide variety of cats. You can tell that the entire operation is really committed to do what's best for the animals. Each animal has a habitat that is well suited for their needs. I really like the fact that they are willing to have animals outside of the public eye when they aren't well suited for being near people. Try the twilight tour for a better experience with the animals! The only slight complaint I have is the size of the tours are a little too large, but I'm sure it takes a lot of money to run the facility. So, I can't fault them for that.
How incredible to see magnificent tigers, lions, jaguars, etc. up close. The volunteers are great and the organization is wonderful to give them a safe place to live after being rescued. NC is one of the few states that hasn't passed a law against owning wild animals, so they end up suffering and having to go to sanctuaries- if they aren't killed. Help these beautiful animals: write your legislators, make a tax deductible donation, and by all means go see them!
Great what they do!! The photos of the cat in the water are of Lucky, found in Detroit who I found to be my favorite because that is where I grew up. Lucky had so much character for a cat that had been through so much. It's been years and I'm not sure if lucky is still there. It is great for children and adults to learn more about all large cats and how they our help being protected in their natural environment. I imagine this cannot be any easy thing, so many thank you for running such a clean, organized educational and fun place.
Very neat place and a cool place to go to on the weekend. They have more than just tigers there. You can tell that they really take care of the animals. I overly enjoyed the tour and learned some pretty cool stuff.
What a hidden gem! We recently visited Carolina Tiger Rescue on a trip to Raleigh. It's a can't miss. The animals are just beautiful and you get a very up close and personal experience with them. The enclosures are huge but the animals come near. We went early in the day before it got hot and all the animals were up and easy to see. The grounds are large and beautiful and easy to get around. The facilities are great with a gift shop. The staff is very nice. Our guides were so knowledgeable, nice, friendly, happy to answer questions. It was a fantastic experience. We would go again.
